The Strain will air its sixth episode, Occultation, tonight and it promises to offer some spine-chilling moments just like the ones it had been offering ever since the series premiere in July this year.
The FX's summer time horror series has managed to attract fans for its unique vampire theme and shocking twists.
In the previous episode, Dr. Ephraim was betrayed by Everett Barnes and he is now evading law with the help Jim Kent. Nora just escaped the strain virus with her mother in tow.
The official synopsis of the Episode 6 reads via the Examiner:
"After warning Kelly to leave the city with Zack ahead of the spreading plague, Eph will get arrested by the FBI. Eichorst is going to have one final job for Gus, while Setrakian realises that the coming eclipse will be the tipping point for the virus infection and the beginning of the end."
Spoiler TV reports that the upcoming episode will feature some amazing moments between the heroes of the series and the vampires.
The forthcoming episode will also reveal the fate of the medical examiner, who was attacked by the strigoi (vampire).
The website also reported that The Strain's Sunday episode will have the 'most grotesque scenes' of the series.
There is still a lot more suspense on what will happen when the vampires will meet the sun during and after the eclipse? Will the strain virus become stronger than ever and spread even faster?
After Eph's arrest, who will search for the cure and what will be Setrakian's next step when he realises that the eclipse has a deep impact on the vampire virus? We will have to wait and see.
The vampire-horror drama is based on a novel with the same name and is created by Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan.
Epidemiologist Dr. Ephraim Goodweather is investigating a plane that landed with 206 corpses and four survivors, carrying an ancient virus with the potential to wipe out the entire humanity.
The Strain Episode 6 'Occultation' will air on Sunday night on FX.
