Swansea City host Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday, 24 September as the Swans look to register their first win. The two teams met in midweek in the third round of the EFL Cup, with the Citizens narrowly winning the game 2-1.

Where to Watch

Kick-off is set for 3pm BST. Live updates of the game will be on BBC Radio 5 Live. Highlights of the game will be available on BBC Match of the Day at 7:45pm on BBC One.

Overview

Swansea are going through their worst run of form under manager Francesco Guidolin and need a complete change in fortunes if they have to beat a resurgent City. Their tally of four points from a possible 15 is their worst start ever to a Premier League campaign and need to sort themselves out before they are in the mix for relegation.

Swansea are yet to register a single win thus far at home, having lost one and drawn the other. They also have a dismal record against the Citizens, who are unbeaten in their last eight outings with the Welsh club, winning six and drawing two.

Pep Guardiola's men have been an unstoppable force this season, winning their first five games with consummate ease, including a Manchester derby, where they were easily the better side against Jose Mourinho's men, who were found wanting for ideas. The former Barcelona man will be looking to match Carlo Ancelotti's record, who won six games on the trot with Chelsea since making an appearance in the League.

City will be boosted by the return of Sergio Aguero, who is back in contention after serving a three match ban, giving Guardiola a problem, with Kelechi Iheanacho proving himself thus far in the competition. However, the Argentine's record of nine goals in five games thus far in the competition should turn the tide in his favour.

What Managers Say

Francesco Guidolin: "We have to look forward, if you work hard, and we are working hard, there will be better moments. We can play another good game. It's not possible to win against Manchester City if you don't play well. We have to play a good game, to prepare well and we'll see."

Pep Guardiola: "It will be a different game to Wednesday because now we know each other. Francesco now knows me and I know him and we are going to analyse what happened here. But we have to expect that maybe Swansea will play with five at the back because against Chelsea he played with five. And of course we are going to play new players: Fer is going to play, Llorente is going to play, Sigurdsson is going to play Montero is going to play as well so we have to see what we have to do better to win the game."
