Microsoft has rolled out a new update to Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1 Preview for Developers.

Carrying a build number 8.10.14157.200, the new Windows Phone update is now available for those who have installed the Developer Preview version.

Currently, there is not much information about the changelog for the 8.10.14157.200 build, but it seems to bring performance improvements and address bug issues, given the size of the download, reports WPCentral.

However, this update will not fix the 80188308 error, which users were facing while installing the Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1.

Joe Belfiore, vice president and manager for Windows Phone programme management at Microsoft earlier mentioned that they are working on the 80188308 installation problem, which is associated with the install partition but not the user storage.

A Microsoft representative at Microsoft answer support forum has announced that:

As promised I want to make sure you folks are aware of what is going on. We have a new update coming out today, however this update will not fix this specific error message.

We are still working on this as a priority to get it out to you in as soon as we can. We will continue to update this thread as we have more information."

However, there is no ETA (estimated time of arrival) for when the error will receive a fix.
