Sony has released a new firmware update based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for Xperia SP.
In February, Sony rolled out Android 4.3 Jelly Bean stock firmware update with build number 12.1.A.0.266 for Xperia SP. Following this, another update with build number 12.1.A.1.201 was released in April and this brought with it enhanced user interface, improved battery and software performance.
Now, Sony has rolled out a new firmware with build number 12.1.A.1.205 for Xperia SP. The update is based on Android 4.3 and is currently available for Orange and T-Mobile subscribers in selected countries across Europe, notes Xperia Blog. The roll-out is expected to continue and reach other users across the globe soon.
To check the availability of the update, navigate to Settings>> About phone>> Software updates >> System updates.
Meanwhile, senior XDA member antkalaitzakis96 shared the FTF firmware download link for 12.1.A.1.205 build. Besides, he has shared the changelog for the latest build. Below are the changes noted in 12.1.A.1.205 build.
1) RAM management is much better than previous .201 build
2) No more screen flickering
3) LED does not stay on while we're on call
4) Super fast
5) Overheating seems to have been fixed
No NFC icon on statusbar
