UK Prime Minister David Cameron, has implored the people of Scotland not to vote for independence, saying that the United Kingdom is better off staying together.

The Prime Minister, along with Labour leader Ed Miliband and Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg, have all headed up to Scotland this week in a bid to strengthen the 'No' vote in the upcoming independence referendum on 18 September.

A recent surge in support for independence has seen one poll put the 'Yes' campaign ahead, whilst most analysts now say it is too close to call.
