60K Xiaomi Redmi 1S smartphones are up for grabs in the company's fourth flash sale. Register now to buy.

Chinese smartphone brand Xiaomi, that has held three flash sales to sell its most sought-after Redmi 2S budget smartphone in India, has now announced that as many as 60,000 Redmi 1S smartphone units will be up for grabs during its fourth flash sale that begins and ends today.

Registrations for the company's fourth flash sale are still open, and prospective buyers and those frustrated at not being able to lay their hands on the Redmi 1S can register to participate by clicking here.

60,000 Xiaomi Redmi 1S units up for grabs

People looking at buying the Xiaomi Redmi 1S 'budget' smartphone now have something miniscule to cheer about as Xiaomi has increased the number of Redmi 1S stocks this time around to 60,000, up from the 40K Redmi 1S units that were set aside during the previous three flash sales conducted by the Chinese smartphone company in India.

Considering the above fact, it is imperative for people to register themselves as early as possible and participate in Xiaomi's fourth flash sale.

Like always, Redmi 1S' fourth flash sale will be conducted online on Flipkart (a leading ecommerce player in India).

Those registering to participate in the fourth flash sale are advised to register only once, and to log-in at least three hours before the flash sale opens.

Redmi 1S sells out in seconds

Gauging earlier flash sale trends, Xiaomi's Redmi 1S is also expected to sell out in seconds in the fourth flash sale. The smartphone was reportedly sold out in less than 5 seconds in Xiaomi's earlier flash sales.

Xiaomi criticised for flash sales 'marketing strategy'

People who had registered to buy the device, but could not buy a Redmi 1S unit in the recent flash sales, had taken to social networking site Facebook to express their angst against Xiaomi for not managing to stock in sufficient Redmi 1S handsets to cater to the increasing demand.

Various potential buyers have expressed disappointment over not being able to order a Xiaomi Redmi 1S despite having registered twice to buy the smartphone in the recently concluded flash sales.

A majority of people have also criticised Xiaomi's 'marketing approach' of conducting flash sales over Flipkart.

However, all these frustrations could be put to rest during Xiaomi's fourth flash sale during which a minimum of 60,000 Redmi 1S units are expected to go up for grabs.

Key hardware aspects of Xiaomi Redmi 1S

Xiaomi's Redmi 1S is certainly a 'value for money' smartphone considering its fairly mid-range hardware aspects, and the Rs 5,999 (£60, $100) price tag.

The smartphone incorporates a 4.7in IPS display, runs on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating platform, and is driven by a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor along with 1GB RAM.

Redmi 1S also features an 8MP primary camera and a 1.6MP secondary camera. The device also provides users 8GB internal storage that is expandable up to 32GB via an external microSD card.

A 2,000 mAh battery powers the entire Xiaomi Redmi 1S smartphone.

Considering the fact that 'value for money' devices are embraced in India, Xiaomi Redmi 1S challenges the recently released Android One smartphones that have a sub INR 6,000 price tag, and the Motorola E that is priced at Rs 7,000 (£70, $116).

In summary, people interested in buying the budget Xiaomi Redmi 1S smartphone are advised to take advantage of the increased stocks, and register themselves soon, to participate in today's flash sale.
