Following weeks of speculation, Adele has reportedly confirmed that her forthcoming album will be entitled '25'.

The Someone Like You singer, who has not released any new material since her record-breaking album 21 three years ago, will release the new record later this year.

Speculation has been rife since Adele's publicist confirmed back in January that her third album will be released in 2014.

It was recently suggested that the songstress might be planning a 'Beyonce style' surprise release.

"The shock tactics worked amazingly well for Beyoncé and the feeling is Adele's new album is so widely anticipated it doesn't need a long promotional build-up," a source told the Daily Star.

Back in May, the London-based star hinted to fans that her highly-anticipated record, may also be age-titled with a cyptic tweet posted on her birthday.

The album will follow 2008's '19' and 2011's '21', which spawned global hits such as Rolling In The Deep and Chasing Pavements.

They were both named after the age the nine-time Grammy winner was when she penned them.

As well as new material, the mother-of-one has also announced a follow-up tour which will take place in 2015.
