A flying car prototype which can travel at speeds of 124mph and fly for up to 430 miles has been unveiled at the Pioneer's Festival in Vienna.

AeroMobil released footage of their Flying Roadster 3.0 prototype, showing the car/plane hybrid drive out of a aricraft hanger and down a country road, before later taking off and landing in a field.

The vehicle can be parked in regular parking spots and be refuelled at regular petrol stations. the car's chief designer Stefan Klein, and CEO, Juraj Vaculik, said their innovation could "change personal transport on a global scale".

The two admitted that the vehicle would still need a runway of at least 200m in order to take off, something that would be difficult to achieve in congested city centres.
