After a stunning red carpet parade at the Cannes 2012, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is back in India. The actress was spotted with daughter Aaradhya Bachchan at the Mumbai airport.

Aishwarya was seen holding her baby close to her. Even though the face of the baby was not seen, the pictures taken were the first ever of the baby outside their home.
"Its splendid, it's inescapable, the bliss is just wonderful. A smile from my daughter and that's it," Aishwarya told CNN-IBN.
"She is good, she is great and she is taking a nap right now. I've actually made her go to sleep and only then it's been easy to come here. It's nap time for her", the actress told the reporters.

Abhishek Bachchan went to the airport to receive Aishwarya while grandparents Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan waited in the car to welcome the baby to home. Father Abhishek Bachchan was seen to be protective about the baby and the mother. An eye witness told India Today that Abhishek had got angry when a media person tried to get close to the baby.

Aishwarya was subjected to constant criticism due to her weight gain post-pregnancy and had become a national concern. An earlier IBTimes UK report had revealed that Aishwarya is enjoying motherhood and is not conscious about her weight gain. She sizzled on the Cannes red carpet in an Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla traditional sari, stating that she is still gorgeous and beautiful.

"The amount of love Abhishek and I and the family and Aaradhya have received, it's blessed to be in this place, and I can only take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone for all their love and good wishes and blessings. That's the real thing. The rest of it is opinions, and they vary and it doesn't matter. This is reality, this is who I am. I am a mother, and this [weight gain criticism] can happen and it happened with me, and that's fine! And that's life! I've never been the one who endorsed size-0 anyways. You guys speculated I was pregnant way before I was so many times! So it just goes to show that I have lived the real life in the public eye, and that continues. There are a lot of people out there that recognize that, see that, and share that energy with me, and that's what matters: reality," Aishwarya had earlier said.
