According to the new Marvel-Sony agreement, a new Spider-Man will appear in an upcoming film in Marvel's Cinematic Universe. And Andrew Garfield, who played Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man movies, will not reprise his role.

The latest reboot of the Spider-Man franchise will reportedly change things by having Ultimate Marvel character Miles Morales behind the mask instead of Peter Parker.

Jeff Sneider of The Wrap announced last week that there is a 95% chance that Captain America: Civil War's web slinger "would not be white".

"Listen, this is not set in stone guys, but I'm telling you right now, Spider-Man's not going to be white," Sneider said on a podcast, according to Hypable.

"Spider-Man's not going to be white. I'm 95% sure. Spider-Man's going to be most likely black. But there's a chance he could also be Latino. 95% sure, not white," he added.

Miles Morales, the black spidey first appeared as the web slinger back in the 2011 Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man series.

While Sneider did not outright mention Morales as the next Spider-Man, IGN claimed that he may have considered the Sony hack as a factor contributing to the casting of a "non-white" Spider-Man.

Sneider said the leaked emails from Amy Pascal were perceived as "racist in some quarters" and thought "that's going to play into things" in casting a black Spider-Man in the reboot.

Jeff Sneider also took to Twitter to confirm that Sony is leaning towards an "ethinic" Spidey.

Fans are excited to see Morals and speculate on which actor would play the part in the upcoming Marvel Movie.

Viewers will eventually know the details as Spider-Man is expected to make a cameo in Captain America: Civil War prior to his standalone film in 2017.
