A new Android 4.3 Jelly Bean test build with base firmware XXUEMJ3 has leaked for the international LTE version of Samsung Galaxy S4 bearing model number GT-I9505, powered by Snapdragon 600 featuring a quad-core Krait 300 processor clocked at 1.9GHz.
Prior to this, another Android 4.3 test firmware with build version XXUEMI8 was leaked for the I9505 model. The I9505XXUEMI8 build was quite stable with significant improvement in performance. It was faster and lag-free than the Android 4.2.2. Besides, the previous test firmware features Samsung Knox and Samsung Wallet. There was a new Reading Mode, which optimises the screen for reading and new improved keyboard as well. Among other key features was the display with enhanced colour reproduction and sharper text.
Country: Open Asia
Version: Android 4.3
Build date: 8 October
Product code: OLB
The I9505XXUEMJ3 build does not bring any major changes, according to Sammobile, who claimed to have tested the firmware. However, the test build does integrate a few minor improvements here and there.
Additionally, this new leak is one of the final builds, which means no new features will be included or excluded in future builds of Android 4.3 for the Galaxy S4, except a few bug fixes and improvements.
Samsung is expected to roll out the official Android 4.3 update for both GT-I9505 and GT-I9500 variants of Galaxy S4 within one to two weeks. This goes well with the previous rumour, according to which the Galaxy S4 would be updated to Android 4.3 sometime in October.
As for Samsung's other popular Galaxy smartphones, the Galaxy S3 has been rumoured to receive Android 4.3 software upgrade sometime in October end to November and the Galaxy Note 2 around November end to December.
