Angry Birds Return to Roost: Theme Park Announced in Finland

Get set for yet another adventure!

A theme park based on the popular smartphone game app - Angry Birds - is set to be launched on 28 April, in the Särkänniemi Adventure Park located in the Finnish city of Tampere.

"We wanted to create a unique themed area and associate it with a strong and well‐known brand," Miikka Seppälä, the Chief Executive of Särkänniemi Adventure Park is quoted as saying on the Park's Web site.

"The Angry Birds characters were born in Finland but known worldwide by people of all ages. This is a perfect fit for our Adventure Park," says Seppälä, adding, "Our goal is to motivate the fans, both adults and children, to exercise and enjoy the outdoors."

The Angry Birds Land will reportedly include many different elements such as rides and amusement park games and also feature "Magic Places", where activities and the gaming world meet.
