Argentina will face Honduras in the Rio 2016 Olympics men's football Group D clash at the Mane Garrincha Stadium on 10 August, Wednesday. The clash will be vital for the South American side, especially after losing the first match against Portugal.

World Cup winning defender Julio Olarticoechea is managing Argentina and he saw his side bounce back from defeat at the hands of Euro 2016 winners, when they faced Algeria. A goal right after the start of the second half from Angle Correa gave Argentina the lead.

However, Sofiane Bendebka's 64th minute equaliser saw Argentina's hopes of progressing very slim. It was Jonathan Calleri's 70th minute goal that was the difference between two sides as Argentina managed to beat Algeria 2-1 in the second match.

After winning the opening match against Algeria, Honduras suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Portugal. The winner of this clash will progress to the next round of the tournament, along with Portugal.
