Pre-requisites

1) Download and install USB Drivers for Nexus 10 to the computer.

4) Ensure that the Nexus 10 is rooted and ClockworkMod recovery is installed.

6) Verify the battery of Nexus 10 is charged above 80 per cent.

Steps to install Android 4.2.2 LiquidSmooth RC1 Jelly Bean on Nexus 10

1) Download Android 4.2.2 LiquidSmooth Jelly Bean custom ROM for Nexus 10 to the computer

2) Download Google Apps package

3) Plug in the USB cable to the Nexus 10 to connect it with the computer. Then copy both the downloaded zip files to the SD card of the device [Do not extract any files]

4) Unplug the USB cable and turn it off

5) Now boot into recovery mode. To do so, first boot into bootloader. From there navigate 'Recovery Mode' using the Volume keys, select it using the Power button

6) In the recovery mode, perform a Nandroid backup of the current ROM which can be restored later if the new build does not work. To perform backup, select Backup and Restore then select Backup again on the next screen. Once the action is completed rerun to the recovery menu

7) Perform data wiping task by selecting Wipe data/factory reset then selecting Yes on the next screen to confirm the action. Wait for a few minutes until the data wipe is completed. Now select Wipe cache partition and after the wiping task is done, select Wipe Dalvik Cache in order to perform Dalvik cache wiping

8) Using the Volume button scroll down to 'Install zip from SD card,' select it using the Power button, then select 'Choose zip from SD card.' Now locate the Jelly Bean custom ROM which is saved on the SD card. Select it by pressing the Power button and confirm installation by selecting Yes on the next screen

9) Once the ROM is installed, repeat the same procedure to flash the Google Apps zip file

10) After the installation process is complete, go back to the main recovery menu and select 'Reboot System now' to reboot the tablet. The device will take a few minutes to boot up for the first time

[Note: In order to return to the previous ROM, boot the device into recovery, select Backup and Restore then restore the desired ROM by selecting it from the list.]
