Anti-Muslim Movie Innocence of Islamic Jihad Release on Independence Day

An anti-Muslim animated movie titled The Innocence of Islamic Jihad is set to be released on 4 July, US Independence Day.

The film is being produced on the lines of earlier movies such as Innocence of Muslims and The Innocent Prophet, which created widespread unrest.

The movie is directed by Pakistan-born anti-Islam activist Imran Firasat who is in Spain as a refugee.

He said the movie was based on "four major episodes of Jihadi violence in recent times".

Firasat told IBTimes UK: "My target audience is Western politicians, radical Islamists, Islamic politicians and the civilised citizens of any country."

He added: "The reason why I decided to produce this movie in animation is that it is difficult to get people who are willing to face the camera for this kind of subject due to the fear from Islamists. I feel proud to have done it in a very good way."

Firasat's first movie, The Innocent Prophet, enraged ordinary Muslims around the world and sparked angry clashes. The Spanish government revoked his refugee status and Firasat took legal action.

But Firasat denied he was deliberately provoking Muslims.

"My sole objective is to express my point of view on Islamic jihad," he claimed.

"All I want is that we should speak publicly and more frequently about Islamic jihad to find out where things are going wrong. No matter what happens, as long as I am alive, I will continue producing films on Islam until I can make the world aware of those hidden points of Islam which people are not aware of."

The film is being backed by other anti-Islamic outfits including Islam Watch and TheReligionofPeace.com.
