Jaden Smith has sparked controversy after criticising the US school system and recommending truancy.
Will and Jada Smith's actor son voiced his 'too cool for school' attitude to education in a Twitter rant.
In a series of posts, the 15-year-old After Earth star insisted that society would be better "if everybody dropped out of school".
"School is the tool to brainwash the youth," he told his 4.6 followers.
"If newborn babies could speak they would be the most intelligent beings on planet Earth.
"If everybody in the world dropped out of school we would have a much more intelligent society."
Concerned parents accused him of misleading young fans.
"This coming from someone that has everything that he could probably need," one user said.
Another wrote: "Will, you need to get your son. He is on Twitter talking bare foolishness, sounding like an inmate. He really upset with those tweets. Don't you listen, kids. Stay in school."
Jaden studied at the New Village Leadership Academy in Los Angeles which was set up by his parents in 2008.
The allegedly Scientology-influenced private academy, which was also attended by Tom Cruise's daughter Suri, was shut down in June.
Jaden is being home-schooled with his sister Willow.
