The top 10 contestants of Miss World 2013 are from the Philippines, Brazil, Australia, France, Nepal, England, Indonesia, Spain, Jamaica and Ghana.

Out of the top ten semi-finalists, contestants from Spain, Philippines, Brazil, Ghana and France made to the top five finalists. These five will attend the question and answer session, and one will be crowned the winner.

Meanwhile, the Miss World 2013 pageant unfolded a surprise as it announced a sixth top contestant, Miss Gibraltar, who made to top six contestants by winning The People's Champion award with maximum votes.

The semi-finalists were initially chosen according to their positions on the pageant's leader board, which ranked the top 20 contestants based on their performance in the pageant's six distinct contests, including Top Model (Miss Philippines), Beach Fashion (Miss Brazil), Sports and Fitness (Miss Netherlands), Beauty with a Purpose (Miss Nepal), Talent Competition (Miss Indonesia) and the World Fashion Designer Award.

Some of the other top contestants, including Miss India, Miss Australia and Miss Ukraine made it to the top 20 but failed to make the top 10.

Miss England, Kirsty Heslewood, who was also among the Top Model finalists, secured her place in the top 10 at number six.

Miss Philippines Megan Young, an early favourite among fans, did not disappoint her country making it to the top slot among semi-finalist contestants.

The Miss World Final is taking place in Bali. A total 130 of contestants will be whittled down to one winner, who will be crowned by the reigning Miss World 2012, Wenxia Yu of China.
