FULL TIME: Aston Villa 0-6 Liverpool

Three minutes of added time. Brutal from referee Neil Swarbrick.

Four minutes of normal time remaining here. The goals seem to have dried up for Liverpool.

Lescott almost makes it seven, diverting a cross towards his own goal only for Bunn to save him.

Villa are managing to hold onto the ball for the timebeing. Let's see how long that lasts.

Ooof, Scott Sinclair hits the woodwork with a wonderful curling effort after a lovely backheeled through ball from Lescott of all people.

Villa have just over 10 minutes to keep this at just the six. I don't think that is going to happen.

No one in a Villa shirt cares anymore. Henderson pings a fine corner in that finds Kolo Toure unmarked. He doesn't even have to move and he is in acres of space, free to casually nod home from close range.

Goal! Aston Villa 0-6 Liverpool (Kolo Toure, 70)

20 minutes remaining in this contest. Liverpool haven't scored in four minutes, this might just stay in single figures.

Kevin Stewart meanwhile has come on for his Premier League debut, replacing Coutinho.

This is getting hard to watch. Clyne is free is saunter into the box unmarked and after seeing his initial effort saved by Bunn, is free to get the rebound and tap home.

Moments before that Westwood was shown a yellow card for an obscenely late challenge on Origi. Should have been sent off.

Aston Villa 0-5 Liverpool (Nathaniel Clyne, 64)

Oh Villa, this is bad even for you. Coutinho threads a ball down from the right for Origi to run onto with Villa's centre halves nowhere to be found. Having just come off the bench to replace Sturridge, the Belgian makes an instant impact, slotting past Bunn. Villa are sinking without a trace,

Goal! Aston Villa 0-4 Liverpool (Divock Origi, 62)

Villa are the masters of their own downfall once again as Bacuna is caught dallying on the ball by Firmino 30 yards out from his own goal. The Brazilian patiently holds onto it before sliding a pass across to Can who finds the corner of the net with a fine strike from the edge of the box.

Goal! Aston Villa 0-3 Liverpool (Emre Can, 58)

Scott Sinclair will come onto replace the stricken Villa forward.

It's not looking good for Agbonlahor. He has tried to continue but is down again and he leaves the pitch looking pretty devastated.

Villa have a problem here. They are not good at football. Also, Gabby Agbonlahor is down and is struggling to get back up after a heavy fall.

And Liverpool get us back underway for the second half.

HALF TIME: Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool

Two minutes off added time in this half.

Great save from Bunn! A brilliant reverse pass from Coutinho finds Milner whose cross is partially cleared by Richards. Sturridge is first to the loose ball and controls it instantly before lashing one on target. The Villa goalkeeper reacts well however and palms it away.

Villa have a half chance as the ball is sprayed out to Bacuna down the inside right channel, but his cross into the middle is terrible and Mignolet easily collects.

Villa, what a mess. That goal stemmed from Okore trying to play his way out of trouble. The first came from some god-awful defending from Cissokho and Lescott.

Milner's cross goes straight in! The captain's lofted ball is directed towards the six yard area with Sakho getting close to it, but no one gets a touch in the end.

Goal! Aston Villa 0-2 Liverpool (James Milner, 24)

Okore tries to dribble his way out of trouble on the edge of his own penalty area and ends up losing it, conceding a foul in the process. James Milner will whip it in from left.

Toure clears a cross from Cissokho that Westwood meets with a volley from 30 yards out. You can't not hit those, it's too tempting. But as you can probably guess, it flies well wide.

Villa had started this contest well but that goal has really destabilised them. When they do get hold of the ball, they seem to have no idea what to do with it.

Patient build up from Liverpool pays off brilliantly. Coutinho whips a cross in from the left to find Daniel Sturridge, who is left free on the edge of the six yard area with Lescott and Cissokho both doing nothing to stop him as he nods into the corner of the net.

Goal! Aston Villa 0-1 Liverpool (Daniel Sturridge, 15)

Villa have started rather well here, they are enjoying the greater share of possession and are pressing Liverpool well when they don't have the ball. Daniel Sturridge hasn't had a sniff yet.

Micah Richards drives forward and does well to win a free kick 30 yards out from goal. It's lumped into the box towards Lescott but Sakho gets there just ahead of him to clear.

And we are off and underway at Villa Park.

We are minutes away from kick off at Anfield. Daniel Sturridge will be looking to make up for lost time, he leads the line against Aston Villa this afternoon.
