Overview

Australia have already achieved their series victory against England in the three-match T20 series after winning the second T20 game at Melbourne to lead 2-0.

The visitors have put in abysmal performances on their tour of Australia suffering defeats in all three series they played against the hosts, starting with the 5-0 whitewash in the Ashes and the 4-1 defeat in the One-Day International series.

In the previous T20 clash between the two sides, George Bailey's side restricted the visiting batsmen to just 130 runs in 20 overs. Josh Hazlewood was the star for the hosts taking four wickets.

Australia had no trouble in chasing the score, as opener Chris White (58) started off brightly to aid his team's quest for victory. Following the dismissals of Aaron Finch (10) and Glenn Maxwell (2), Bailey smashed 60 runs off 28 balls to pile more misery on Stuart Broad's side.

The top order's performance with the bat saw the home side achieve the target of 131 in less than 15 overs.

England will be waiting for the clock to tick as they certainly can't wait for this miserable tour to end so they can go back home and reflect on what exactly went wrong.

But Bailey and his men will be waiting to celebrate the triumph by completing another whitewash against the visitors.
