Overview

Australia made it to the quarter finals of the tournament after winning three of the five matches played so far and settling for a point with Bangladesh after the tie was washed out due to bad weather.

They are currently third in Group A and could move to fourth place if Bangladesh manage to defeat New Zealand in their final group stage fixture. A win for the co-host nation will help them move to the second spot and a defeat will see them finish third or fourth, depending on the result between the Black Caps and the Tigers.

Their experience and the fact that they are playing at home should see Michael Clarke's side seal an easy win over the minnows over the weekend. A win will help them move to the second spot in the group table, irrespective of the results elsewhere.

A second place finish will see Australia take on the team which will finish third in Group B for the quarter final clash. Meanwhile, Scotland have not managed to win a single game in this World Cup and for that to change, they need individual heroics from a few of their players on Saturday.
