Luis Enrique has received a major fitness boost ahead of Barcelona's Champions League match with Atletico Madrid on Tuesday (5 April), with Neymar and Jordi Alba returning to training on Monday morning. Mundo Deportivo reported the pair both missed Sunday's workout following defeat to Real Madrid in El Clasico, but the pair look ready for the quarter-finals of Europe's most prestigious competition after taking part in the final training session before their side faces Los Colchoneros.

The Catalans host Diego Simeone's side on Tuesday night hoping for a big response to the disappointment of the weekend's reverse and to give hope to their chances of recapturing the Champions League.

Luis Enrique refused to rest any key players in El Clasico, despite the big game just three days later against Atletico. Barcelona, nevertheless, remain six points clear at the top of La Liga with just seven games remaining.

Neymar led the attack, alongside Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi, without success against Real Madrid, while Alba played the full 90 minutes at left-back. However, their were worries about their participation in the Atletico Madrid game after Mundo Deportivo revealed niggles had kept them out of Sunday's training.

Barcelona neither confirmed nor denied the reports, but the players failed to appear in any of the pictures posted by the club from the Sunday workout. However, Neymar and Alba both trained on Monday without any problems, and look set to feature in Barcelona's line-up against Atletico. The Spanish publication added that the session started 22 minutes late, possibly because the Barcelona boss wanted to discuss the defeat in El Clasico.

Jeremy Mathieu, Adriano and the long-term injured Sandro Ramirez, however, missed the session and will remain out for the Champions League encounter.
