Swansea news: Jordi Amat will not play for the rest of the season having suffered a broken metatarsal while Nelson Oliveira is unavailable up front with an ankle problem. That void will be filled by Bafetimbi Gomis, however, who is back after a three game absence due to a hamstring injury.

Arsenal news: Arsene Wenger described Aaron Ramsey's chances of featuring tonight as '50-50' last Friday. With a trip to Old Trafford to come on Sunday, there are likely to be no chances taken on the Wales international, who suffered a leg injury at Hull.

Danny Welbeck also remains sidelined although Wenger is hopeful the forward can return before the end of the season. Mikel Arteta remains unavailable.

FULL TIME:

Arsenal 0-0 Chelsea

Yawn.

Another Arsenal attack breaks down as Welbeck's pass goes astray, allowing Ramires to stride his clear. He's all on his own, but running at pace, forcing Mertesacker to haul him back. A yellow card for him.

Mourinho running the clock down again with his final change, bringing on Juan Cuadrado for Willian.

Better from Arsenal as Monreal scampers to the byline before pulling a cross back across goal Ozil swings a leg at it but misses, putting Welbeck off in the process who lets the ball run past him at the far post. One of Arsenal's best chances of the game.

Four minutes of time added on.

Another Arsenal move breaks down on the right and Hazard can scamper free, before he is tugged back by Ramsey who earns himself a booking. Chelsea have the ball for another few minutes before Kurt Zouma enters the fray, replacing Fabregas.

Chelsea are more than happy with a draw here, much to the frustration of those in attendance around the Emirates. It's all very dreary at the minute.

With eight minutes to play, Theo Walcott will enter the fray, replacing Olivier Giroud.

Ozil takes it but Courtois jumps through a crowd of players to claim the ball. He drops it as he hits the deck but Michael Oliver blows for a free kick in Chelsea's favour.

Welbeck drives down the right, taking on Azpilicueta and winning a corner for is side.

Arsenal finally see a bit of the ball. Welbeck dashes inside from the left and leaves it for Ramsey to lash one on target. It;s hard to tell if it was going on target, however, as it;s accidentally blocked by Giroud.

Danny Welbeck comes onto replace Coquelin. Wenger fancies going for this, but Chelsea are enjoying a bit of keep-ball to the sound of 'Boring Boring Chelsea' around the Emirates.

Koscielny latches onto a loose ball on the left with a surging run and cuts a neat ball back into the box for Cazorla, but he screws a disappointing effort wide. Good chance for the Spaniard.

Drogba swivels and shoots in the Arsenal box but his effort sails well wide. Michael Oliver awards a corner, however, but Arsenal manage to clear.

Ivanovic is shown a yellow card for an ugly challenge of Sanchez. The Chilean was caught with a similar one in the first half and was lucky to escape a booking then.

Willian catches Koscielny with a dangerous high boot and is rightfully show a yellow card. The resulting free kick is lumped into the box and cleared, but only as far as Mertesacker who looks to sweep a half volley into the back of the net. This centre half Per Mertesacker we are on about here, however, so obviously that doesn't happen. Instead, his effort trickles harmlessly wide of the post.

Now it's Chelsea's turn to wake up with Willian doing well to hold off his man inside the box before laying the ball off for Drogba on the edge of the box. It's perfectly set up for the Ivorian to hammer a shot on goal but it's a tame effort in the end which rolls harmlessly into Ospina's hands.

Suddenly, Arsenal come to life as Cazorla slides a ball down the inside left for Monreal. He clips in a neat cross for Sanchez who has a great chance to score but his effort is blocked by Terry. The resulting corner comes in, but Courtois easily saves.

Fabregas has taken his mask off. That is all that has happened of note in the past few minutes.

Coquelin is left in a heap following a clash of heads with Drogba but is soon back on his feet.

Chelsea come down the right flank and Ramires whips a fine ball into the box but Bellerin does well to nod clear. Ozil picks up the ball and tries to stride past Azpilicueta, but the German is nudged off the ball far too easily and Chelsea come again. Hazard is given the chance to shoot but hits a wayward effort over the bar.

A ball is clipped over the top for Fabregas to chase but Koscielny is able to stand him up and usher the ball back to his goalkeeper, who collides with the pair after collecting the ball. The Colombian goes down and looks to be in a bit of trouble, but he seems okay to continue now.

Sanchez lifts a ball out to the left for the onrushing Monreal but his first time cross is sliced woefully out for a goal kick.

Oscar was taken off due to a 'possible concussion' as a result of that collision with David Ospina.

And we are back underway for the second half and Jose Mourinho has made his first change, bringing on Didier Drogba for Oscar.

HALF TIME:

Arsenal 0-0 Chelsea

Two minutes of time added on here.

Chelsea fail to clear from inside their own box as Arsenal try to pick their way through with Bellerin assisting down the right. It falls to Ozil who swivels to shoot on his weaker foot, but it's a tame effort that is easily saved.

Sanchez tries to take a shot on after neat work down the left again but he drags a poor effort wide. Not the best first half from the Chilean.

What a chance for Chelsea! Willian slides a superb ball through the Arsenal defence to find the run of Ramires, whose one on one with Ospina. He controls the ball and flicks it on goal in one fluid motion, but the Brazilian prods it straight at the Arsenal goalkeeper to save.

Arsenal again come down the left through Ozil who works it inside to Sanchez. He looks to thread one through to Giroud but it's horribly overhit and the chance goes.

Now it's Arsenal's turn to appeal for a penalty! Bellerin does brilliantly down the right, getting on the end of raking long ball and cutting it back to Cazorla inside the six yard area. He hits it first time, but is denied by Cahill who had flung his body across but the ball does cannon off the underside of his arm. Could he have moved it out of the way? Yes, had he detached it from his body. Otherwise, no.

Oscar comes in from the left and tries to jink his way past the cluster of Arsenal defenders in his path. The first of those in Per Mertesacker reads his run well and takes control of the ball.

Monreal is freed in space down the left and whips an inviting ball into the box. Problem is, there is no one on hand to meet it in an Arsenal shirt and Terry can nut it clear.

Three times Chelsea have appealed for a penalty in this first half now. I wonder what the subject of Jose Mourinho's press conference after this will be?

Fabregas was booked for that tumble, too. As you can imagine, that went down rather well with the Gunners in attendance.

Fabregas goes down in the box following the challenge of Cazorla in the box, is it a penalty? No! Michael Oliver instead books the former Gunners skipper for diving. Replays show Cazorla did stick a leg out, but the contact was minimal. Difficult one.

Arsenal try to pick their way through the Chelsea backline with some intricate passing on the edge of the box and Giroud almost slips one through for the onrushing Sanchez but Ivanovic reads it well and intercepts.

Chelsea have a good case for a penalty being awarded there. Oscar was completely taken out by the Arsenal goalkeeper after clipping the ball over him. The Brazilian has gone off the pitch to receive a bit of treatment, but should be okay to continue.

Bellerin clears off the line! Fabregas lifts an angled ball over the top for Oscar with the Spanish full back playing him onside. He sneaks in behind Koscielny and clips the ball over Ospina, who completely wipes out the Chelsea man in the process. His effort looks like it is going to bounce over the line but Bellerin makes up for his initial effort to head clear.

Terry hammers a pass back to Courtois whose first touch isn't great, offering Giroud the chance to chase it down. The Blues goalkeeper just about recovers in time to thump clear.

Oscar cuts into the box with Bellerin for company and hits the deck, appealing for a penalty. The full back did appear to touch the Chelsea man's shoulder but it was hardly a pull back. Jose Mourinho is out of his seat letting the referee know what he thinks.

The free kick is driven straight into the grateful arms of Courtois however.

Sanchez drives inside and plays a neat one two with Ramsey, who beautifully backheeled the ball into his path. The Chilean is on the end of it but Ivanovic sticks a leg out and gives away a free kick 25 yards out.

With no striker on the pitch, it looks like Oscar is the most advanced player for the Blues in these opening minutes.

As you can expect, there are one or two boos for Cesc Fabregas whenever he is on the ball for Chelsea.

And Chelsea get us started at the Emirates.

Arsene Wenger says Per Mertesacker's chances of making today's game did look 'unlikely' but says the German came through 'two very good sessions' to prove his fitness to the Gunners' medical staff.

Elsewhere this afternoon, Everton have beaten Manchester United 3-0 at Goodison Park. Louis van Gaal;s side will finish the weekend in fourth place no matter what happens, while Arsenal can jump back into second with three points.

Arsenal have won their last nine games in the league and the FA Cup, form that has lifted them into another FA Cup final and with Champions League qualification virtually assured.

Slightly odd to see no sign of Dominic Solanke on the Chelsea bench. The striker was pulled out of Chelsea's Under-21 game on Thursday for today, but Jose Mourinho has opted against his inclusion.

It's pretty much the starting XI we expected from Arsene Wenger, apart from the inclusion of Hector Bellerin at right back. The Spaniard, who returned to training this week comes in ahead of Mathieu Debuchy.

There is no Diego Costa in the match day squad with Didier Drogba the only real striker in the squad for Chelsea. He starts on the bench.

BREAKING: Chelsea start with no recognised striker on the pitch, with Eden Hazard playing the furthest forward.

Chelsea team to face Arsenal: Courtois, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry (c), Azpilicueta, Matic, Fabregas, Ramires, Oscar, Willian, Hazard.

Subs: ech, Filipe Luis, Zouma, Mikel, Loftus-Cheek, Cuadrado, Drogba

BREAKING: Hector Bellerin returns at right back while Per Mertesacker has shaken off an injury and starts at the heart of defence.

Arsenal team to face Chelsea: Ospina, Bellerin, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal, Coquelin, Cazorla, Ramsey, Ozil, Alexis, Giroud

Subs: Szczesny, Debuchy, Gibbs, Wilshere, Walcott, Flamini, Welbeck

Jose Mourinho has a bit of a selection dilemma up front this afternoon. Here's what he said earlier this week:

Didier, for sure is good. Remy, not for sure. Diego, let's make a decision tomorrow. The reality is that we are coping with the difficulties of every match without him. Remy did well for us, Didier did well for us.

"The team is adapting to playing with two.I would love Diego to be back but I trust the other people and this week we decide not to let Solanke play with the U21s in case we need him."

Hector Bellerin is also in line to return this afternoon after returning to training earlier this week.

Chelsea news: Chelsea meanwhile faced the prospect of being without all three of their first team strikers earlier in the week but reports on Sunday have suggested Mourinho will make a late decision on Diego Costa. Loic Remy is out with a calf problem.

Arsenal news: Per Mertesacker is a doubt ahead of kick off after he was forced off in the FA Cup semi-final against Reading last week. Mikel Arteta and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain meanwhile remain out having yet to recover from respective ankle and groin problems.

Can Arsene Wenger end the hoodoo Jose Mourinho holds over him? As everyone has been reminding him this week, the Arsenal boss has not been able to beat his Chelsea counterpart in their previous 12 meetings. If Mourinho can continue that run with a win today, his side can lift the Premier League title on Wednesday against Leicester City.

But as Manchester United and Manchester City have learned this season, this is an Arsenal side now equipped to take on those sides around them, a trait that was so brazenly absent last season.

Unlocking the resolute Chelsea machine is an entirely diffrent prospect, but Wenger must feel his side have their best opportunity in recent years to break Mourinho's spell.
