New details regarding the plot of Batman v Superman have surfaced online revealing clues about the film's plot and the main villain of the subsequent Justice League film.
Warning: Potential Spoilers Below
According to a Tech Times report, the film might begin during the time when Superman's battle with Zod is coming to an end.
Apparently, the on-set leaked footage that surfaced last week, showing Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne amid mass chaos and destruction in Metropolis, will form part of the first few scenes of the film. The opening sequence will suggest that while Superman was fighting Zod, Bruce Wayne as on-ground trying to save lives.
Also, reports of the extra who worked on the film, revealing key plot details have given rise to rumours regarding a supervillain, who might feature in the film and the follow-up Justice League movie.
"One of the scenes shot featured Batman breaking into Lexcorp to steal kryptonite, and apparently Lexcorp had somehow gotten a hold of General Zod's body," the anonymous extra told Geek Tyrant.
Badass Digest confirmed this report, and added, "Lex has been gathering pieces and debris from the World Engine and he has used them to synthesise Kryptonite. Meanwhile he has also gotten hold of Zod's corpse, and it is the key to his master plan to defeat Superman. He uses that tissue to... well, that would be spoiling. But Superman hasn't been defeated many times in the past. You can probably connect the dots from here."
The Christian Post speculates that Luthor intends to create a supervillain to take down Superman, and most probably that villain could be Doomsday.
"At the end of the day though, if Doomsday is in the new movie, then it would make perfect sense why Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman would want to team up. Only a super powerful foe would require the Holy Trinity, and Doomsday is perfect for that role," states the report.
It is also possible that Doomsday might feature towards the end of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in a set-up that will carry forward into the Justice League.
