Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
Appearing at Comic-Con? Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice Warner Bros

Batman v Superman fans hoping to see some really exciting footage from the eagerly-awaited film at the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con in July could be left feeling somewhat disappointed.

Earlier rumours suggested Warner Bros would release the film's first teaser during the event, but a later report suggests otherwise.

An early glimpse at the Warner Bros Hall H panels at Comic-Con on Saturday July 26 has been revealed and it does not feature Batman v Superman, reports Slash Film.

Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road and the Wachowskis' Jupiter Ascending will feature, but there is no mention of Batman v Superman or anything DC Comics related. Does it mean fans hoping to catch the first look of the upcoming superhero movie will be disappointed? Or is there a big surprise planned?

Last year, during the 2013 Comic-Con, Warner Bros made the biggest, most awesome announcement of the event - that their Man of Steel sequel would feature Batman.

It may be that the studio is looking to repeat that excitement by keeping news of any teaser clips from Batman v Superman a surprise.

Just because it's not part of the Warner Bros panel just yet doesn't mean it won't be. The film has been shooting for a few weeks now and there will definitely be some footage that can be shown if they choose to.

Previous reports have also revealed that the studio plans to announce the line-up of their superhero films for the next four years at Comic-Con.
