A bachelor party in the woods of Tennessee, USA, took a turn for the adorable when the raucous boys discovered a den of puppies nearby and had to rescue them. Future-groom Mitch Craddock returned home with his friends alongside a dog and her seven puppies.

Craddock told West Michigan news site, WWMT that the dog first appeared as they were cooking bacon in their cabin but they assumed it belonged to someone nearby and would leave. After a while, it became obvious that the collarless dog needed help. Craddock said: "She was very dehydrated, hungry, I mean everything we gave her and out in front of her she gobbled up as fast as she could."

The party then started to realise that the dog would start acting erratically every time anything passed by one particular area of the woods. Craddock said: "We connected the dots, we put everything together and we found a giant hole in the ground. So one of my friends went in head first, we found these puppies [and] we started pulling them out."

Seven puppies were rescued and later treated by a vet. They named the dog Annie and her puppies Rose, Finn, Daisy, Gunner, Brimmy, Know and Bear. Each of the puppies has now been homed.

Craddock acknowledged the surprising situation they had found themselves in: "So there was a group of rough men going down to go four-wheeling, but instead they are inside washing puppies."
