Just months after calling off her engagement to rapper Big Sean, Glee star Naya Rivera has stunned fans by getting married to Parks And Recreation actor Ryan Dorsey.

The 27-year-old actress said 'I do' to the actor on 19 July in an intimate ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, attended by close family, People magazine reports.

The bride wore a lace Monique Lhuillier gown and carried a bouquet of daises. Dorsey opted for a dapper black Dolce & Gabbana suit for their big day.

"We feel truly blessed to be joined as husband and wife," the couple said of their surprise nuptials. "Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for."

The newlyweds, who have been friend for years, reportedly began dating shortly after Rivera split from Big Sean in April.

Riviera and Big Sean first connected on Twitter and he popped the question after just six months of them dating.

Fans were left stunned when the hip hop star confirmed they had gone their separate ways despite previously gushing about their love.

"After careful thought and much consideration, Sean has made the difficult decision to call the wedding off," Sean's representative told Us Weekly.

"The recent rumours and accusations reported by so called or fake sources are simply untrue. Sean wishes Naya nothing but the best and it is still his hope that they can continue to work through their issues privately. We will not be commenting again on this matter."

Despite speculation that Rivera and Dorsey may be moving too fast, the couple insist their whirlwind romance is the real deal. "True love always prevails," they said.
