Jose Mourinho
Jose Mourinho is refusing to compare the likes of Luis Suarez and Sergio Aguero to his Chelsea strikers.

Mourinho insists that Chelsea's misfiring strikers can't be compared to the likes of Sergio Aguero and Luis Suarez, with the manager arguing that his players are better for a team dynamic.

Suarez and Aguero currently hold the number one and two spots respectively in the Premier League top scorer table and the pair have been widely praised for their performances this season.

Meanwhile Chelsea don't appear to have been able to produce such a player in the current campaign with their midfielders having to shoulder the burden in front of goal recently.

But Mourinho insists he isn't panicking over the situation and believes that his attacking line-up is capable of working together as a team.

"Some strikers are players with fantastic individual qualities and they can by themselves do what their team is not able to do," Mourinho told reporters. "Teams that are not playing especially well but have certain kinds of individual players who can be the solution for the team's problems.

"Our players are not players with these kinds of qualities or potential. They are more in the team dynamic and they do other jobs. That's why I'm not critical of them.

"The number of goals is quite frustrating. Not just for me but especially for them, but the contribution is good, the other guys having lots of goals is because of the work the strikers do.

"Do I expect them to score a little bit more? Yes. Do we need a little bit more? Yes. But we cannot expect Demba Ba or Torres to get the ball like Aguero, like Suarez, to dribble and to shoot."

Demba Ba appears to be particularly out of favour with Mourinho, featuring for Chelsea this season just 12 times.

The former Newcastle frontman has been connected with a move elsewhere but with Mourinho continually making clear he will not enter into the market in January the Senegal international will likely stay at Chelsea until next summer at least.
