R&B singer Chris Brown is reportedly moving his daughter Royalty and her mother, Nia Guzman, from Houston to Los Angeles so he can spend more time with the child.

According to TMZ, the 25-year-old has offered to buy a home in Hollywood Hills where Guzman can live with the nine-month-old. A source has reportedly told the website that Brown is keen to be a good father to Royalty and wants to have a "meaningful relationship" with his rumoured daughter.

The Loyal singer and 31-year-old Guzman are said to be in "negotiations" over child support.

The website reports that Brown is currently paying a substantial amount of child support for Royalty but has allegedly warned his former love interest that the payments could easily be reduced if he was to inform the courts that he is paying more than is required by law.

Brown has allegedly told Guzman that if she accepts the move to LA, he will not move forward with legal proceedings, but she is yet to make a decision.

Earlier this month, another insider claimed the Ayo singer is keen to share custody of Royalty with Guzman, telling Hollywood Life: "He's adamant that they raise Royalty together. It's very important to him that he and her have a near perfect relationship because he wants his daughter to be raised properly - with he and Nia.

"He knows from experience the hardships and heartache it can be without two parents in the same home and he doesn't want that for Royalty."

It is believed Royalty spent quality time with the R&B star this month as the child and her mother were seen leaving a hotel in Houston when Brown was in town to perform on his Between The Sheets tour.

Brown is yet to publicly confirm whether or not he is Royalty's father and he is reportedly not romantically involved with Guzman.
