Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri toasted his club's Premier League title victory with a glass of champagne on 5 May. At his first press conference since the Foxes sealed their league victory, when Chelsea drew 2-2 with Tottenham Hotspur on 2 May, Ranieri held a flute up to media members thatgathered to applaud him and his team.

The result at Stamford Bridge means Leicester City, who were given odds of 5,000-1 at the start of the season, are the champions of England for the first time in the club's history. Tottenham trail the Foxes by 7 points with two games to go.

Manager Claudio Ranieri did not attend the players' party on the 2 May, instead flying back to Italy to take his mother for lunch, before returning to England in time to watch the match on TV at home.

"[My emotion] it was at the maximum. At the maximum level", he told reporters on his arrival at the training ground. "I feel good, you can imagine," he said the next day on his way to team training.
