Coachella is all set to go live this weekend. Performances will take place from 15 to 17 April. However, those unable to attend the music festival can take heart, thanks to YouTube. The streaming giant will live stream performances from the three-day event, ensuring that those unable to attend can still enjoy the music and performances.

YouTube will begin streaming Coachella performances on 15 April at 6.30 PM ET (11.30 PM BST). The streaming giant has not yet confirmed the schedule or the list of performances it intends to stream live. However, Google confirmed in a blog post that it will offer "highlights and performance footage" via three live stream channels. "The channel features an all-inclusive social feed and highlight posts to see images, moments, and discussions around the festival," said Google.

YouTube is also providing users with a personalised customisable schedule feature, ensuring that viewers don't miss out on catching the performances of their favourite musicians. The feature provides viewers with the option of pre-selecting the performances they would like to watch. YouTube will then automatically stream the selected performances on a specific channel.

Coachella 2016 will see two major bands — Guns N Roses and LCD Soundsystem — reuniting to perform at the festival. Other popular musicians like Sia, Ellie Goulding, Ice Cube, Grimes, The 1975, Major Lazer and Calvin Harris have been confirmed to perform at the festival.

IBTimes UK will keep its readers updated with the Coachella 2016 live YouTube stream performance list once Google makes it public. Viewers can also subscribe to YouTube's Coachella channel to stay tuned to updates.
