Police in Telford are appealing for information after a concrete block was dropped from a bridge and smashed into a moving vehicle below.

The incident occurred just before 10pm on 16 February on the A442 at the Wombridge interchange. The concrete block hit a car, slightly injuring the 23-year-old driver.

The concrete smashed through the nearside front windscreen and bounced on to the rear seat of the vehicle, scraped the shocked driver.

He was able to maintain control of his vehicle and pull over quickly and safely.

Chief Inspector Keith Gee said: "Police are investigating and are appealing for any information which will help us to identify the offenders.

"We are looking at CCTV to identify suspects. We would appeal to members of the public with their own CCTV to come forward so we can maximise our chances of identifying those responsible.
