Harry Potter star Emma Watson channelled her inner rock chic self at the Struck by Lightning premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival as she hit the screening red carpet in a black leather blazer and a white blouse.

The 22-year-old teamed her chic looks with a tiny printed skirt in sky blue shade, peep toe heels and a small pink clutch bag by luxury brand Miu Miu. She further accentuated her looks with small ear studs and cherry red gloss.

Watson arrived at the premiere in New York City on 21 April, 2012 along with a host of other celebrities including actress Amber Riley, Ginnifer King and Chris Colfer.

The star arrived at the event to join friend and producer Roberto Aguire for the screening held at the Borough of Manhattan Community College. Aguire is known for his work in the hit series Glee and for the HBO drama series Big Love.

In the past, Aguire has received a number of awards and nominations for his works. In the year 2002, his work, The Mystery Plays received the Roger L Stevens Award from the Kennedy Center Fund for New American Plays. Say You Love Satan, another play by Aguire, received an Excellence in Playwriting Award "and was a runaway hit" at the 2003 International Fringe Festival in New York City.

Besides this, Roberto has also received the GLAAD Media Award nomination for The Mystery Plays in 2003 and for Say You Love Satan in 2006.

The Daily Mail reported that actress Amber Riley who plays Mercedes on the show turned up as well as her Fox castmate, Chris Colfer, who wrote and stars in the Brian Dannelly-directed drama. Actress Ginnifer King wore a deep purple asymmetric number with strappy high shoes to celebrate the occasion.

The movie Struck by Lightning tells the story of a young man who, after being struck and killed by lightning, recounts the way he blackmailed his fellow classmates into contributing to his literary magazine. The motion picture also stars Christina Hendricks, Dermot Mulroney, Sarah Hyland and Matt Prokop.
