Saying that The Fast and Furious films have done wonders for its star-cast, would be an understatement. None of the cast and crew members knew that the first film which released in 2001 would eventually spin into a billion-dollar film franchise.

Ahead of the release of the latest instalment titled Furious 7, actress Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Letty in the film, has revealed that she had a problem with her character's storyline in the first film.

According to Yahoo, "An earlier, later abandoned, idea for the movie had Letty in a love triangle with Dom (Vin Diesel) and Brian (Paul Walker). And Rodriguez was totally against this idea."

"Is it realistic for a Latin girl who's with the alpha-est of the alpha males to cheat on him with the cute boy? I had to put my foot down," she told The Daily Beast. "I basically cried and said I'm going to quit and, 'Don't sue me, please — I'm sorry, but I can't do this in front of millions of people'."

"My whole point in being an actress is that I thought I got to live a dream," the actress added. "And I don't dream about being a s**t! Do you?!"

Rodriguez eventually went on to play just Dom's love interest in the films - an angle that played a key role in the previous instalment's storyline.

Furious 7 opens in theatres on 3 April 2015.
