Santa Claus is everywhere today as the bearded giver of gifts the world's biggest single logistics operation - and these pictures from around the globe bear the evidence of his omnipresence.

Obviously, the real Father Christmas is too busy delivering presents to be cleaning windows as he is pictured doing in Tokyo. But there are plenty of people ready to get into the festive spirit by donning his distinctive outfit and spreading some festive cheer.

Google even set up a Santa Tracker to show which country's children are getting their presents at any given moment. Follow Santa's trans-global jaunt here.
