EA Sports' Fifa 16 will feature female footballers for the first time ever, with World Cup winner Alex Morgan on the US cover and Canadian captain Christine Sinclair joining the box art for the release in Canada.
Both players will feature alongside Barcelona's Lionel Messi, who will appear on all versions of the game. In the UK Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson will be the second cover star thanks to a public vote.
Fifa 16 was revealed in May to be the first in the series to include the women's game – which enjoyed a hugely successful World Cup in Canada over the summer that saw the US side win over Japan in the final, with England beating Germany to finish third.
This year's iteration of the enormously popular sports simulation will include 12 international women's sides and a whole new style of play to emulate the women's game. The teams included are USA, Canada, England, Australia, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Spain and Sweden.
Fifa 16 will be released on PS4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox 360, PS3, iOS and Android on 25 September.
