Neville Neville, the father of footballers Gary and Phil, has been arrested on suspicion of indecent assault.

Greater Manchester Police say they arrested a 63-year-old man following an alleged assault in Bury on 23 March. He has been released on bail until May.

A former cricketer and director of Bury FC, Neville Neville is also known for acting as an agent for both his footballing sons.

Eldest brother Gary is a former Manchester United captain and current Sky Sports pundit. Phil is the current captain of Everton.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "Police are investigating a sexual assault which happened in the early hours of Saturday, March 23, 2013, in the North Manor area of Bury.

"A 63-year-old man from Bury was arrested on suspicion of indecent assault and has been bailed till May pending further inquiries."
