Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney and his girlfriend Amal Alamuddin are reportedly engaged.
The 52-year-old Oscar-winning actor proposed the 36-year-old British attorney in the past two weeks.
"George and Amal are trying to keep things very low-key but they also aren't really trying to hide this, it doesn't seem. I think it's like they want the people they love to know that this is real, that they plan on being together forever," a source told People.
The two were first photographed together in London in October.
"This is the healthiest relationship I've ever seen George in," a close source to the Gravity star told Us Weekly. "He seems incredibly happy, and Amal is such a sweet and intelligent girl, who has her own thoughts and ideas and doesn't just bow down to everything he says."
Previously, Clooney had vowed he would never marry again. He was earlier married to actress Talia Balsam for four years - from 1989 to 1993. However, that clearly did not end well.
Incidentally, more than a decade ago he reportedly had a $10,000 bet with actress Nicole Kidman that he would still be unmarried and childless when he turned 40. That year he said: "If anyone wants to make the same bet for when I'm 50, get in touch."
He won the bet.
Clooney has been romantically linked to wrestler Stacy Keibler, Kelly Preston, British model Lisa Snowdon, cocktail waitress Sarah Larson and model and TV presenter Elisabetta Canalis.
