Gruesome discovery took place in small village of Wallenfels Reuters

The bodies of seven dead infants have been found in a house in northern Bavaria, according to local reports.

German police said they were searching for evidence after a doctor discovered the bodies in a single room in the town of Wallenfels, near the Czech border, on 12 November. The remains were taken away to undergo forensic examinations, The Local reported. Police said it was not clear when the babies died or who was living in the house at the time.

According to some unconfirmed reports, a couple were living there with several children and their grandmother in the family home. One neighbour told The Suddesutche Zietung (SZ) newspaper that they were "nice people" from the neighbourhood. The local mayor said there was a great sense of disbelief in the community.
