Google Fit users are in for some pleasant news, as the Android maker has unleashed the latest version (v1.52) of its fitness app via Google Play Store.
The new iteration of Google Fit is capable of tracking the distance travelled on foot as well as the calories burned in the process. One can even monitor one's fitness history by days, weeks, and months to stay in shape and evaluate the progress.
The built-in widget app assists users to constantly check up their activity schedule through app notifications and reminders that will pop up on the homescreen, whenever the user skips some activity or forgets something very important with the fitness programme.
Besides, the app also introduces the familiar watch face from Android Wear with typical functions that are found on the wearable device.
Interested users can check out the complete changelog for Google Fit 1.52 via Google's official blog post and download the same manually through the APK Mirror (click link to download) that is duly signed by Google with a cryptographic signature.
