The 84th Annual Academy Awards ceremony was celebrated at the home of Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa that represented the much-hyped Oscar Nominees Night on Thursday, February 23, in California.

Hollywood Reporter's Editorial Director Janice Min and SVP/Publisher Lynne Segall honoured the high-profile guests including Aaron Sorkin, Owen Wilson, Demian Bichir, Jessica Chastain, Kathryn Stockett, CNN's Piers Morgan and Michael Sheen.

Jessica Chastain sported a satin Casadei sandal heels, with matching teal and off-the shoulder Vivienne Westwood dress, as she embarked on her maiden Oscar nominee invite at the grand Hollywood Reporter Nominees' Night in LA.

The actress revealed her passion for meeting friends as the chief motive to attend the event, while best actor hopeful Demian Bichir (A Better Life) and best adapted screenplay nominee Aaron Sorkin (Moneyball) too were present at the grand show.

Jessica Chastain has been nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her role of Ceclia Foote in the blockbuster drama 'The Help'.

On entering the 1920s mansion, the nominees felt at home, as the participants indulged in celebrating friendship and joy with cocktails and chatter. The competitive spirit was however quite conspicuously absent, even as the biggest Hollywood show of the year came alive and kicking.
