How to play classic PlayStation games on jailbroken iOS 9, 9.0.2 via RetroArch PlayStation emulator Reuters

Classic Sony PlayStation games like the first Tomb Raider can now be played on iPhones and iPads having iOS 9 or iOS 9.0.2. The games can be recreated on iDevices via the RetroArch PlayStation emulator.

Apple iPhone and iPad users should note that the app works only on jailbroken devices. How to install RetroArch PlayStation Emulator, on jailbroken iOS 9, iOS 9.0.2 devices and play classic PlayStation games:

Step 1: Jailbreak your iPhone/iPad running Apple's iOS 9 or iOS 9.0.2

Step 2: Launch Cydia repository on your device

Step 3: Once in Cydia, follow this path: Sources > Edit > Add

Step 4: Navigate to the buildbot.libretro.com/repo/Cydia, tap on Add Source

Step 5: Select Return to Cydia, after Step 4.

Step 6: Open up the Search tab and initiate a search for "RetroArch"

Step 7: Choose RetroArch (iOS 9) entry, and then select Install and choose Confirm

Step 8: Select Return to Cydia" option after installation (in step 7)

Step 9: Tap on Search, and initiate a new search for Automatic SSH and install it.

How to configure RetroArch PlayStation emulator

After installing the emulator, follow the steps below to configure emulator:

Step 1: Open RetroArch application

Step 2: Select Online Updater

Step 3: Select Update GLSL Shaders. Wait until the updation process is completed

Step 4: Select Update Overlays and wait for completion of updation

Step 5: Tap Update Databases. Like step 4, anticipate the completion of the process.

Step 6: Choose Update Autoconfig Profiles, wait for update to complete.

Step 7: Select Update Assets. Wait until updation is complete.

Step 8: Choose Update Core Info Files.

Step 9: After completion of step 8, select Core Updater

Step 10: In the list that appears after the completion of step 9, select PlayStation (PCSX ReARMed) [Interpreter].

Step 11: Click Back button, and then Back button again. Select Load Core. After this, choose PlayStation (PCSX ReARMed) [Interpretor] enabled in step 10.

Then, copy the custom ROMS of your favourite PS games, to your iPhone/iPad running iOS 9/9.0.2. Move ROMs [ROMS can be obtained via a manual RIP or from the internet] to the /var/mobile/documents directory within your device. This makes it easy for RetroArch to detect and find the ROMs. After copying ROMs, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Open-up the RetroArch application

Step 2: Select Load Content > Select File.

Step 3: Select /var/mobile/documents directory

Step 4: You will now be able to select and play your favourite PlayStation games.
