HTC One Google Play Edition (GPE) owners are in for some great news, as HTC's VP of Product Management has finally confirmed via Twitter that Android 5.0 Lollipop update will be rolled out to its One M8 and One M7 GPE devices by 21 November, after an initial release set for earlier this week was pushed back.
@martywinsen Hi Marty, got delayed - new target is Friday. Working aggressively to get it out as quickly as possible. Thanks. Mo

Officially, One M8 and One M7 GPE devices will be the first non-Nexus devices to enjoy the Lollipop update following the Android 5.0 debut release on Google's Nexus devices, thanks to their stock Android builds.
As Phone Arena reports, the Lollipop update for regular versions of One M8 and One M7 may be delayed until February 2015, while One mini, One mini 2, One max and other HTC handsets are expected to follow soon.
However, there is no official word on the exact reason for the unexpected delay in rolling out the Lollipop update for HTC One GPE devices.
