A packed house, pretty sepcial to come out in front of them. But I think we have been bowling well as a unit together. Just that today everything fell together. Shane Bond has been great. He gives us a lot of confidence. A lot of work he does behind the scenes. As a player you have a bit of a niggle any time, but with the work that Chris Donaldson has done with us, we are a pretty fit unit. Another great team performance.

Broad continues and England had a chance to dismiss Ross Taylor. However, the ball goes high in the air and fall at no man's land inside 30 yards circle. He gets a single. Broad bowls a bouncer and it goes past the keeper and the ball races to the boundary. That is the end of the match as New Zealand seal a victory.

Woakes in his third over as England are five runs away from a win. New Zealand have to wait for another over as Woakes manages a maiden over.

That's the end of the powerplay and New Zealand have managed the chunk of runs from that. They are just eight runs short of another victory in the World Cup as Stuart Broad returns to attack after an expensive first over.

Williamson nudges towards mid wicket and manages two runs. New Zealand are six runs away from a win in front of their home fans. Williamson pulls one towards leg side and goes straight to the square leg fielder, resulting in a single.

Woakes continues his second over after conceding just four runs of his first over. He strikes back as he sends Guptill back to the pavilion just after the super break. Ross Taylor replaces him as no runs have been conceded from the first four deliveries.

Taylor gets off the mark with a boundary to.ards leg side. The Kiwis need 8 more runs to win.

New Zealand batsmen are back on the pitch and they need 12 more runs to seal their third win of the 2015 ICC World Cup.

New Zealand have already registered victories over Sri Lanka and Scotland in the first two fixtures. They are on the course of the third win of the 2015 ICC World Cup as they edge towards making it to the knockout stages of the tournament.

Brendon McCullum scored the fastest 50 of the World Cup in 18 deliveries.

Over 9: New Zealand 112 for 1: Martin Guptill 22 (19), Kane Willaimson 6 (10)

Anderson continues his fifth over and Guptill takes a single. Williamson finds the gap and punches it towards square of third man for two runs. 3 runs from the over. It's time for super break.

Over 8: New Zealand 109 for 1: Martin Guptill 21 (18), Kane Willaimson 4 (5)

New Zealand need 20 runs to win and McCullum need 23 runs for a century. Chris Woakes replaces Finn and McCullum gets bowled out in the very first ball. Kane Williamson replaces his skipper in the middle.

Williamson drives way past the bowler towards long on for a boundary and he is now off the mark.

Guptill takes a defensive shot and the crowd wants McCullum back on strike. Guptill flicks towards fine leg, forcing the keeper Buttler to chase the ball before it reaches the boundary. He gets three runs.

McCullum is back on strike and he has three deliveries to face Anderson in this over. Slower ball and McCullum punishes it for four towards square leg. He is not interested in taking singles and sends back Guptill, who wanted a single. He finishes the over the single and retains the strike.

Over 6: New Zealand 96 for 0: Martin Guptill 18 (15), Brendon McCullum 72 (21)

Finn bowls on Guptill's hips and he lifts his leg and places it towards square leg for a boundary. He does not bother to move as the ball races to the rope. Guptill takes a quick single towards mid on and that bring McCullum on strike.

McCullum smashes towards cover for his third six and that helps him go past half century mark. That was the fastest fifth by any player in the World Cup, which came of 18 deliveries.

The Kiwis skipper walks down the ground and punches for a six over the long off and the ball lands on the roof of the car. England are having a meeting in the middle as how they can stop McCullum from going big.

However, there is no use as McCullum goes over the long on for a big six and then finishes the over with another six over the bowlers head.

Over 5: New Zealand 67 for 0: Martin Guptill 13 (13), Brendon McCullum 48 (17)

Guptill now joins McCullum as he flicks towards the leg side for a boundary. Anderson bowls outside leg stump and it hits his pad for four through fine leg. Guptill finishes the over with a single towards third man.

Over 4: New Zealand 57 for 0: Martin Guptill 8 (7), Brendon McCullum 48 (17)

Setven Finn replaces Stuart Broad after an expensive first over. McCullum has no mercy for English bowlers today as he smashes over the point for a six. McCullum now gets the ram out over the keeper for four.

New Zealand are scoring over 11 an over already and he hooks one towards square leg for the second boundary of the over. 14 runs have come off the first four deliveries as McCullum walks down the ground for another six down the ground. 20 runs off the over as McCullum is on fire.

Over 3: New Zealand 37 for 0: Martin Guptill 8 (7), Brendon McCullum 28 (11)

Anderson is in his second over and his short pitch delivery forces Guptil to slice as it shorts just in front of the third man fielder Moeen Ali. That brings McCullum on strike and he then slices over the gully and this time, the third man becomes just a spectator as the ball races to the boundary.

McCullum repeats the same shot and gets the same result as he quickly moves to 37 in no time. The Kiwis skipper finishes the over with a single.

Over 2: New Zealand 27 for 0: Martin Guptill 7 (5), Brendon McCullum 19 (7)

Stuart Broad will partner Anderson in opening England's bowling attack. McCullum will face the right-arm pacerman and he smashes the first ball for a six over third man. The Kiwis skipper is in a hurry to finish things as he is trying to punish Broad.

McCullum walks down the ground and smashes over mid on for his first boundary, before slicing one over the point second four of the over. He finishes the over with another boundary as Broad concedes 18 runs from the over.

Over 1: New Zealand 9 for 0: Martin Guptill 7 (5), Brendon McCullum 1 (1)

Martin Guptill and Brendon McCullum are the two players in the middle as James Anderson starts the proceedings with the ball for England. The first runs on the board comes off with a wide ball.

England need their bowlers to outshine in order to have any hope of sealing a victory. Guptill takes charge and smashes one towards cover for New Zealand's first boundary. He then places in between gully and the slip for three runs. God start for the Kiwis as McCullum finishes the over with a single towards third man.

With no break, New Zealand have come to bat now.

England lost last 7 wickets for 19 runs.

New Zealand will bat before the supper break for the second time after having bowled an opposition out.

The first time was in the last game against Scotland.

Adam Milne replaces Trent Boult and Root takes charge now. He slices one past the fielder at point and the ball quickly races to the boundary. He then hooks one towards the leg side and gives away his wicket. That is the end of England's innings in the 34th over.

Southee continues to attack as he has four slips in place. Root takes a single and Finn has to stay his ground in order to avoid further embarrassment. However, Finn fails to stay for long as he edges the ball to first slip and gives a simple catch to Ross Taylor.

James Anderson is the last man to walk in the middle. With Finn's wickets, Southee now holds the best figures by a New Zealand bowler in the World Cup and is third in the overall list, behind Australia's Glen McGrath and Andy Bichel.

Boult is in his final over and he is targeting Finn. So far he has been very impressive today as he has conceded 32 runs so far. The first three deliveries ends in no run as Finn is looking to give the strike to Root.

Boult finishes his spell with a maiden over as he finishes with figures of 32/1 off his 10 overs.

Southee is looking to finish things as he is bowling his eighth over. Broad decides to take the aerial route and luckily for him, the ball lands safely. He gets two runs. Broad then gives away his wicket by getting out cheaply as Vettori takes a very good catch. Steven Finn is the new man middle.

Boult is brought back into the attack, who has two overs left in his spell. McCullum is looking to finish things quickly as he has three slips in place. So far no run from first three deliveries. New Zealand are in full control of the game as they conceded only two runs from the over.

Southee sends back Buttler back into the pavilion and his dismissal has led Chris Woakes to walk into the middle. Woakes came close to getting out, only before he kept his bat to avoid another causality.

A leg bye gets Woakes back on strike. He misreads Southee's delivery and gives away his wicket. Stuart Broad is new man to join Root in the middle and he gets off the mark with a single towards third man. Root is the only saviour for England now and he finishes the over with a single.

Excellent over from Southee as he picks up two wickets in the over, while conceding only two runs.

Vettori is hoping to get another wicket to put more pressure on England. Root and Buttler have just managed two singles so far and there is no change as the over finishes.

McCullum brings Southee and he strikes immediately as the hero at MCG for England goes for nothing. The right-arm pacerman manages to rattle Taylor and gets him bowled as he becomes his third victim of the day.

Wicket-keeping batsman Jos Buttler is the new man joining Root. England are in all sort of trouble. Buttler gets off the mark with a double and that's the only runs that have come off this over.

Morgan takes a single off the third bowl and gets Root on strike. He then takes a single and gets skipper on strike. Morgan then charges down the ground on long-on and Milne comes running to take a brilliant catch to end Morgan's time in the middle. James Taylor walks in the middle, following Morgan's departure.

Anderson starts his second over and Root takes a single of his first ball, which was a leg bye. Morgan flicks one towards leg stump and takes a single and it was the over's second leg bye. That helped England reach 100 runs. Morgan gets a single off the last ball.

Vettori has been re-introduced into the attack as he changes the ends. So far just one run have come off the first four deliveries, which he has bowled to Morgan. Very good over from the left-arm spinner as just 2 runs have come from it.

Over 23: England 96 for 3: Morgan 14 (29), Root 35 (51)

Corey Anderson is introduced into the attack, who replaces Vettori. The left-arm bowler still has a slip. Root takes a single and brings Morgan on strike. The English skipper is struggling to play Anderson.

Morgan relieves pressure off his shoulders by smashing one for a boundary towards cover and finishes the over with a single.

Over 22: England 89 for 3: Morgan 9 (25), Root 34 (49)

Milne is bowling his fifth over and has been impressive so far. Just two singles have come off first four deliveries. Driven nicely by Root towards long on and McCullum runs from mid off to save one run for his side as Root gets three runs.

Over 21: England 84 for 3: Morgan 8 (23), Root 30 (45)

Vettori continues his fourth over and starts with a dot ball. Morgan charges down the ground before placing it towards cover for a single in order to avoid being stumped. Both the batsman in the middle are rotating the strike as five runs have come off it.

Over 20: England 79 for 3: Morgan 5 (21), Root 28 (41)

The pressure is building on as Milne continues to attack English batsmen with pace. Root finds the gap between the first slip and the gully and forces the third man to save two runs for his side. Root gets two runs.

Root picks up a boundary by hooking one towards deep fine leg. It's a welcome boundary for England, which has come after a long time. Milne finishes the over with a dot ball.

Over 19: England 72 for 3: Morgan 5 (20), Root 21 (36)

Root drives Vettori's third delivery towards long off for a single and that's the only run which has come off the over.

Over 18: England 71 for 3: Morgan 5 (17), Root 20 (33)

Milne is back into the attack and he replaces Boult, who picked Ballance's wicket. His good length delivery forces Morgan to leave the ball go past him to the keeper. Three good deliveries from Milne as no runs have come from it so far.

New Zealand have been very good on the field today as Milne complete a maiden over.

Over 17: England 71 for 3: Morgan 5 (11), Root 20 (33)

Root gets off the strike by taking a single from Vettori's first delivery. Morgan and Root then take three runs off the remaining five deliveries as the left-arm spinner concedes 4 runs from his second over.

Over 16: England 67 for 3: Morgan 4 (9), Root 17 (29)

Boult's in his eight over and he still has two slips and a gully. Root tries to beat past the gully fielder, only before he quickly jumps to his right to stop a single. Root the drives square and Vettori had to come running from the third man to stop the ball touch the rope. Root manages three runs.

Morgan then nudges one towards third man as the fielder is inside the circle and gets three more runs. 7 runs off the over.

Over 15: England 60 for 3: Morgan 1 (8), Root 13 (24)

New Zealand introduce spin as Daniel Vettori now looks to trouble English batsmen. One run from the over so far, before a mix up between Root and Morgan could have resulted in a run out. Luckily for England and Morgan, the latter reached the crease and averted the danger.

Morgan is off the mark with a single towards third man and Root takes another single. 3 runs from the over and it's time for drinks.

Over 14: England 57 for 3: Morgan 0 (5), Root 11 (21)

Ballance tries to hit towards the side off the wicket and the ball does not come off and results in a simple catch to Williamson. McCullum's decision to continue with Boult has paid off and skipper Eoin Morgan is the new man to walk into the crease.

The pressure is on England and their skipper now to turn things around as they have already lost top three batsmen. Good over for New Zealand as it ends in a wicket-maiden.

Milne's second delivery of second over sees Root drive it for a boundary towards cover. Good delivery from Milne, but Root uses the pace to drive it to get four more runs. He then flicks it to the leg side and gets off the strike by taking a single. Ballance finishes the over with a single.

Over 12: England 51 for 2: Ballance 9 (22), Root 6 (18)

Trent Boult still continues as he starts his sixth over. Root gets off the strike from the second delivery as he tucked away off the hip for a single. Another close call for Ballance as Boult's quicker delivery beats the batsman.

Ballance takes successive doubles by placing on the either sides of the pitch before finishing the over with a dot ball.

New bowler is introduced into the attack as Adam Milne replaces Southee. Root and Ballance are dealing in singles as they look to regain momentum in order to get hold of the situation. runs came off the over.

Boult bowls the final over of the mandatory powerplay. There was a big appeal from Boult for LBW, but the umpire seems not interested as there could have been a thick inside edge.

No run from the first four deliveries so far. Root then hooks one towards deep fine leg, but gets only one run. Just one run from the over.

Over 9: England 42 for 2: Ballance 5 (13), Root 3 (9)

McCullum still continues with Southee with a hope that he could get another wicket before taking him off the attack. Root takes a well-judged single and gets Ballance on strike. He then tries to flick one towards fine leg but hits the pad and gets a single.

New Zealand have four slips in place for the two new batsman in the middle. 3 runs off the over.

Over 8: England 39 for 2: Ballance 5 (10), Root 1 (6)

Ballance and Root, two young Yorkshire men have a tough job to do in the middle. Boult is in his fourth over and after managing three good deliveries, he bowls a wide. Ballance gets his first run of the over by placing it to the fielder at square leg.

Root faces Boult for the first time today and he decides to leave the ball as it goes into the hands of keeper Ronchi. Root places towards fine leg for a single and the right-handed batsman is off the mark.

Over 7: England 36 for 2: Ballance 4 (6), Root 0 (4)

Southee pitches one above Ali's head, only to be called as a wide by the umpire. Southee then bowls a quicker one, which just pitches ahead of his bat and then beats him to hit the stumps. Good variation from the Kiwi pacerman and has managed to dismiss both England openers.

Joe Root is forced to walk in the middle very early in the innings and he, along with Ballance have a huge responsibility to help England get off to a good start. Good over for New Zealand.

Over 6: England 35 for 1: Ballance 4 (6), Moeen Ali 20 (13)

Boult continues to charge Ballance and the Kiwis are appealing for LBW. The on-field umpire says not out and New Zealand are going to use their review and despite the ball was going to clip the bails, the review suggested to go with the umpire's decision. Luckily for Ballance, he survives the scare.

He then flicks one towards third man for a single and gets off the strike, which brings in form batsman Ali on strike. Ali slices through the point, but gets cut off by the third man fielder and gets one run.

Ballance nudges towards cover and gets two runs. 4 runs from the over.

Over 5: England 31 for 1: Ballance 1 (1), Moeen Ali 19 (12)

England lose their first wicket as Ian Bell is the player to be sent back to the pavilion. Southee's good delivery beats the outside edge to hit the off stump and that is the end of Ian Bell.

Gary Ballance replaces the opener and he came close to join Bell in the dressing room, only to miss the stumps and gets off the mark with a single.

Ali then charges Southee by sending the ball straight down the ground and even McCullum could not manage to stop the ball from crossing the rope.The ball was in the air over short cover and it runs to the boundary in no time. That was the second consecutive boundary.

Ali then manages to beat the first slip fielder as the ball goes above his head for the third boundary of the over. Good over for both sides as Southee concedes 13 runs after taking a wicket.

Over 4: England 18 for 0: Ian Bell 8 (16), Moeen Ali 7 (8)

Bell manages to ease some pressure of his shoulders by smashing Boult's off side off stump delivery through cover-point for four. He then flicks one towards fine leg for a single, before England take two more singles in the last two deliveries of the over.

So far in this World Cup, the teams who have batted first have gone with a safer approach by not going on an attack from the first over. The opening batsmen have taken time to settle in the middle before charging the bowlers. England are also looking to follow the similar strategy today.

Southee continues to attack as he starts his second over. Bell struggled in the opening over and has continued to do the same in the first two deliveries he has faced so far. He then places a brilliant shot down the ground, only before the mid off fielder to chase the ball as Bell takes a single.

Ali punishes Southee for his short pitch delivery as pulls one towards square leg for England's first boundary of the innings. Finishes the over with a dot ball.

Over 2: England 4 for 0: Ian Bell 1 (9), Moeen Ali 2 (3)

Trent Boult, who was the Man of the Match against Scotland joins Southee to lead New Zealand's bowling attack. Ali gets off the mark with a single and Bell also opens his account by placing towards fine leg for a single.

Ali tries to pierce the ball through the cover and mid off,, only to be stopped by the Kiwis skipper. 3 runs off the over.

Over 1: England 1 for 0: Ian Bell and Moeen Ali will open England's innings, while Tim Southee starts the proceedings with the ball for New Zealand.

England get the first run on the board with a help of a wide. Bell has faced six deliveries from the first over and has not managed to get off the mark. Good start by New Zealand.
