  • Matic urged Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia to reduce his £40m asking price.
  • Bernardeschi impressed for Italy in the Under-21 European championship.

Juventus have set their sights in signing Chelsea star Nemanja Matic and Fiorentina winger Federico Bernardeschi in the summer transfer window.

According to the Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, the Blues are willing to sanction the midfielder's sale following the arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko from AS Monaco. The 28-year-old's services are no longer required at Stamford Bridge as Antonio Conte is open to the idea of allowing the player leave the club.

Matic played a key role alongside N'Golo Kante in helping the west London club win the Premier League. The Serbian international and striker Diego Costa have been left out of the travelling squad for the pre-season tour to China.

Apart from the Turin club, Inter Milan and his former manager Jose Mourinho are also looking at signing him for Manchester United this summer. However, Conte is not open to the idea of allowing his player join a direct rival.

Chelsea have slapped a €45m (£40m, $51.9m) price tag for Matic. Juventus believe the price tag is too high, especially for a player who is 28 and has two years left on his contract. The former Benfica man has urged the club's director Marina Granovskaia to reduce his price tag in order to complete a switch to Italy.

With the Blues rejecting the Red Devils offer after United hijacked Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea and Inter yet to make a serious approach, Juventus are leading the race for Matic's signature.

Meanwhile, Massimiliano Allegri is also targeting Bernardeschi in the ongoing transfer window to bolster his side's attack. He scored 14 goals and registered five assists across all competitions for Fiorentina last term.

Bernardeschi's form for the Serie A outfit and Italy during the Under-21 European championship has seen him attract interest from Juventus and also United. According to the Sun, the winger is wanted by the 20-time English champions.

Juventus are confident of landing the Italian attacker, despite rumoured interest from United in signing him. The Champions League finalists have already made a €40m (£35.4m, $46.1m) offer for Bernardeschi, which has been accepted by his employers. However, Fiorentina's decision to add €10m (£8.8m, $11.5m) in bonuses has complicated the situation. They are also asking for Juventus midfielder Stefano Sturaro to be included in the deal.

With Matic and Bernardeschi likely to join Juventus, it will be a double blow for United, who were chasing the star duo.
