A consistent Kolkata Knight Riders take on a struggling Kings XI Punjab in the 32nd match of the 2016 edition of the Indian Premier League on May 4 (Wednesday). With five wins from eight games so far, the Knight Riders are third in the league table with 10 points.
A win here will put them on level with Gujarat Lions at the top of the table and it won't come as a surprise as they are one team that makes minute changes both at the auction table and on the field. The Gautam Gambhir-lead side are the favourites to win this game.
Kings XI Punjab, the only team to change their captain during the competition, have had a difficult tournament. In fact, they have lost five games so far, registering just two wins and are lodged at the bottom of the table with four points.
New skipper Murali Vijay has injected some life into the team and it will be interesting to see how they perform in the rest of the competition. Hashim Amla is set to join the squad in place of the injured Shaun Marsh. The onus will be on the bowlers to continue their good form.
