Lady Gaga has posed naked for a video, as part of a campaign to raise funds for the Marina Abramovic Institute (MAI).

The 120 second video, titled The Abramovic Method Practiced by Lady Gaga, is posted to MAI's Viemo profile. The Poker Face singer is seen in a series of artistic and meditative poses.

Reports claim the poses are "a series of exercises designed to heighten participants' awareness of their physical and mental experience in the present moment".

The mission statement reads:

"Marina Abramovic Institute is dedicated to the presentation and preservation of long durational work, including that of performance art, dance, theater, film, music, opera, and other forms that may develop in the future. MAI will foster collaboration between art, science, technology, and spirituality, bringing these fields into conversation with long durational work. MAI will provide an educational space to host workshops, lectures, residencies, and research."

It is believed the art project has already collected over $230,000 (roughly £150,000). The goal is to reach $600,000 (roughly £390,000) and there are 17 days left in the drive.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga and Abramovic were spotted together at an event in New York recently. The 66-year-old Serbian performance artist is presently collaborating with the American singer on her forthcoming studio album, ARTPOP.

"I'm obsessed with this woman," the 27-year-old said of Abramovic in a 2010 interview, "She is so incredible."

Lady Gaga is scheduled to sing her new single, Applause, at the 2013 MTV Music Awards, which will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on 25 August.
