The Last of Us is a survivor game released on 14 June. It features two main characters, Joel and Ellie. Joel is one of the survivors in a plague-ridden world where an outbreak of Cordyceps fungus has turned humans into zombie-like creatures. Joel's chief mission is to protect 14-year-old Ellie from attacks by burglars and plague-ridden half-humans and rescue her from the infected area.

The plot creates a horror effect with half-collapsed buildings, wild grass growing on the roads and blood stains on the walls.

The game includes brutal killings and gamers can use pistols, iron rods, pipes, glass bottles, saws, knives or anything to stay alive.

The game, created on Naughty Dog's native game engine with high-end graphics and minute details in close combats, has been released only for PlayStation 3 and is available from the PlayStation store at £37.98.
