Video footage has been released show the lava flow from Hawaii's Kilauea Volcano incinerating a house, as the molten rock has crept towards the village of Pahoa for the past few weeks.

The house was long ago abandoned, and no injuries were reported from the lava flow. Molten rock began oozing from Kilauea Volcano in late June.

Residents of Pahoa, a town of about 800 people, have been prepared to evacuate in case the lava reaches their homes. The Hawaii Civil Defense Agency has said no other residential structures were immediately threatened.
