Liverpool midfielder Suso is eying Anfield return in the summer after completing his season-long loan spell at Almeria.

The 20-year-old was loaned to the Spanish side before the start of the current campaign. The attacking midfielder has impressed with his performances so far this season, scoring two goals and managing seven assists in 25 league appearances.

The Reds manager Brendan Rodgers heaped praise on Suso and Fabio Borini, who is on loan at Sunderland, for their impressive form this season. The Northern Irishman has backed the two to come out as better players when they return to Anfield after the end of the current campaign.

Suso has set his eyes on becoming a first team regular under Rodgers next campaign and is hoping that his form this season could help him earn a new contract at the Merseyside club.

"It's a dream to play at Anfield every weekend - it's the best option that can happen. I would like to sign a new contract with Liverpool and stay there for many years," Suso told talkSPORT.

"Brendan is a really good manager; he always treats the players really well. He tries to get the players on the ball all the time. To play football, you have to have control of the ball - Brendan wants that all the time."

Meanwhile, Suso is looking to get more playing time under his belt as he looks to improve his game with every match. The Spaniard also revealed the conversation with Liverpool manager last summer before making a loan switch to Almeria.

"I wanted to play every game this year and get a lot of minutes. Playing in the First Division in Spain is a good experience for me. Next season I'll be a new player. I'm enjoying it a lot," the attacking midfielder said.

"At the beginning of the season, before pre-season, I was talking with Brendan and we were thinking that the best option for me was to go to a team on loan for a year, improve and learn from other players," Suso explained.
