Mario Balotelli is to be investigated by police after he allegedly threatened a woman who took photos of the Liverpool striker's Ferrari.

The Italy international was spotted arriving at Liverpool's Melwood training ground in the red supercar on Thursday 23 October after being criticised for a lacklustre performance and for swapping shirts with an opposing player during his side's 3-0 defeat against Real Madrid.

But at around 3pm, it is alleged he threatened a woman after parking the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta on a road in Wythenshawe, Greater Manchester, on a visit to his mum, reported the Liverpool Echo.

It was when a female resident started taking photos of the car that Balotelli reportedly made threats towards her.

Greater Manchester Police confirmed it is investigating the incident.

The 24-year-old was condemned by fans and football pundits alike last night (22 October) after Sky TV cameras caught him exchanging shirts with Real Madrid defender Pepe before the players left the field at half-time during the Champions League match.
